Two years ago today we launched MyInternationalAdventure to bring you the Adventurer’s Guide to Moving, Living and Working Abroad. Happy anniversary MyInternationalAdventure readers.
We started MYIA because we knew you were looking for an information resource that could help simplify the time-consuming and complex planning process required for you to move abroad. We took our time before we launched because we wanted to be sure we were giving you what you really wanted. We asked many aspiring American expats what they wanted in an online information website and then set out to build content and a website that would meet your needs.
So, how are we doing? Well, we now have over 600 pages of timely, truthful and trustworthy information that can help you determine where to go, how to get there, how to live there and how to work there. The information comes in many forms. This blog – A View Abroad – offers a personal view of moving, living and working abroad. Our Adventurer Stories also are a decidedly personal view of life abroad but from expats around the world. Our helpful articles are categorized under Moving Abroad, Living Abroad and Working Abroad, each with a topic you want to know about from experts who know what they’re talking about. And finally, our twenty-two country profiles are divided into 16 informative subsections from how to enter a country to how to start a business.
We also started a YouTube channel (MYIA channel) last year to bring you edited video interviews of the articles we publish on MYIA. At last count, our homeschooling interview, for example, had well over 300 views.
What’s in our future? Well, we’ve almost completed timely updates of all of our country information and will be adding Ireland, South Africa, India and Greece this year. We also revamped our monthly newsletter and added several new sections. If you haven’t yet signed up, it’s easy.
And, finally, look for our first book on expat Adventurers this spring. It’s all about you.
Happy anniversary MYIA readers, and thanks for sharing your time with us.
