In yet another attempt at blatant self-promotion, I call your attention today to our new MYIA YouTube channel. The best way to find us is to type in MyInternationalAdventure as one word, just as we registered the name as a service mark.
Why YouTube? Because that’s the media source many of you look to for moving, living and working abroad information and resources, while you are also viewing the extremely cute dancing kitten videos.
We created our own YouTube channel because we know that video is a preferred medium for most consumers, no matter where they live. The power of sight, sound, color and motion can’t be understated.
Our YouTube channel provides us with the opportunity to bring you selected portions of our in-depth interviews with a wide range of subject experts and Adventurers. Most of the interviews we do for our moving abroad, living abroad, working abroad and Adventurers articles are more than 30-minutes long. We, however, can’t use all the material in a 1,000 word article that you read on our website, so we edit the interviews down to a more manageable 15-minutes for our YouTube channel.
This allows our experts to speak to you directly, so you’re getting the information directly from the “horse’s mouth.”
We launched our first video last month, our interview with Christy Opstrup and her family from Waterloo, Belgium. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a great discussion about the problems and opportunities of using homeschooling for your kids when you’re living abroad.
Our new video features our interview with i-World Research Project Director Emma Wood. She provides a great overview of the new Expat Survey, which will be done on an annual basis. I think you’ll find many of her research findings both interesting and very informative.
In addition to our new YouTube channel, also look for Adventurer and expert videos under our Adventurer Videos feature in the right hand column of every page on our site.
