Are you ready for your close-up? Orion Entertainment is looking for adventurers moving abroad to star in a brand new reality television show called “Moving Abroad.”
Orion – a Denver, Colorado-based television production company – says it is the largest independent producer of high-rated television programming for a variety of television networks, from the History Channel to Discovery.
Following Orion’s formula of unscripted, no-host reality shows, “Moving Abroad” will feature adventurers moving to places that are off the beaten track.
We spoke with Cindy Baggish, Orion’s Director of Casting, to find out more about the show.
“This show will follow couples and families who are moving to towns or cities abroad where living in a grass hut is distinctly within the realm of possibility and acquiring groceries is a little more involved than hopping in a car to the neighborhood supermarket,” Baggish tells us. “Destinations of interest are places where nothing can be taken for granted. Not shelter, food, power or anything else.”
In other words, if you’re heading for Mongolia, Central Africa, the Amazon region, Indonesia or other more adventurous destinations, you’re perfect for the new show.
“Acclimating and immersing into a new culture raises the bar when it comes to adventure, and this new show intends to capture every moment,” Baggish says. “From packing your bags, your house, your kids and your animals to landing and getting settled in your new destination, we’ll cover it all… the good, the bad and the ugly of a move abroad.”
So if you’re an adventurer moving to a more exotic locale and love the idea of a camera crew following your every move, Orion would love to hear from you.
Just fill out the casting application and answer a series of questions. Hint: If you’re moving to Borneo, the odds for your selection over someone going to France probably are higher.
We’ll be watching for your close-up.
