Share Your International Adventure Story

Matt Wennersten

We’d love for you to share your international adventure story with us so we can feature it in our Adventurer Stories section.

Everyone considering or planning a move abroad wants to know what life is like living in another country. Your insights can be a big help to them.

I found this out while living in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I wrote a book called, “Boomers in Paradise: Living In Puerto Vallarta,” which is based on interviews with 19 singles and couples who talk about day-to-day to life experiences in PV and provide wonderful personal insights on expat life abroad.

I learned that nothing beats hearing first-person stories about living in a place you’re considering as a new home. When expats tell their tales, you get the unvarnished truth.

Take for instance our adventurer story by India expat, Matt Wennersten, who is an international education consultant and entrepreneur based in Chennai, India.

Matt says, “Moving to India was easy, yet for all that is exciting and delightful about India, this country is rough terrain.” His story has many examples of the challenges he and his Indian spouse had to overcome after they moved to the second most populous country on the planet.

Jessica Corley and Rhonda Manthei have a very different story to tell. They moved to Puerto Vallarta primarily to raise their daughter in a culture she had been drawn to through a junior high school exchange program. As serial entrepreneurs, they had a local business up and running within a year after landing in the sub-tropical resort city.

Many of you are talented writers and may want to write your own story. If not, we’re happy to interview you and write the story for you. Either way, contact us by clicking on Contributors on any MyInternationalAdventure page or send us an email through our Contact page.

And, if you have any photos you would like to submit, we will run them in the story and in our Adventurer Photos section. Videos also would be welcomed!
